I have immortalized a large part of my art on car and motorcycle parts. Why do you ask? I needed a canvas for my art that would provide the space on which the paints and varnishes would adhere well and simply look stylish.

The hood shows Berlin in the roaring 20s, in an era that brought with it so much openness, permissiveness and tolerance that hardly any other city in Europe could keep up.
In addition to Josephine Baker and Marlene Dietrich, Claire Bauroff, Isadora Duncan, Lydia Thompson, Maud Allan and Mata Hari can also be seen. The latter was also known as a spy who spied on her clients in a brothel for the German secret service.
Alongside Marlene Dietrich, Anita Berber was one of the most famous German dancers. Her wicked career with a series of scandalous performances was brought to an end by her extreme drug abuse.
But Berlin was also known for its numerous prostitutes, who could be found in every category for every type.
At this point I would like to mention Kitty's Salon. A brothel that survived the Second World War, but only because it was misused for espionage purposes.

Yrna, a former hostel owner in San Jose, has the honor as a native Costa Rican to present the "Pura Vida" cap. To make it accessible to the public, it was passed on within the family, namely to her sons Pablo & Alexander with wife Gabriela, to be placed in their spa hotel in Alajuela.
If you travel to Costa Rica, you should know that the inhabitants are very proud of their diversity of flora and fauna and they try to live very consciously in harmony with nature. Their motto: PURA VIDA
A small part of Costa Rica's flora and fauna can be seen on the canopy, including monkeys, butterflies, armadillos, frogs, hummingbirds, parrots, turtles, snakes, squirrels, wild cats and various plants and flowers.
Those staying at the Spa Hotel can have the hood brought to their room. The owners are proud of their nature and the hood and are happy to show it to interested guests.

My friends Ridwan and Tresna are from Indonesia, luckily they have found a nice place for this unique hood in their home country. So it will soon be going on a long journey too!
Indonesia not only consists of 1000 islands, it also has a diverse flora and fauna. There are many species of lizards, and the Komodo dragons are unique in the world. Also pictured are the extraordinary diving women of Bajau and some rare Indian tribes such as the Dayaks, Papuans, Danis,
Mentawais or the Lingons. These are known for their green and blue eyes and are still present today. Also worth mentioning are the various forms of puppet theater such as wayang kulit (shadow play) and wayang golek (puppet show). Cendrawasih, the country's national bird, and the musical instrument Anklung can also be found on the canopy, as well as traditional buildings and temples such as the Toraja and Minangkabau houses and the temples of Borobudur and Bali.

Hoods and tanks in the Madhouse music pub in Augsburg
The Madhouse in Augsburg always has different hoods on display. The "Outlaw" and "Rebels" tanks and the good piece "Motorcycle History" are permanently in the store. In 2021, I dedicated a hood to the Madhouse and Wolfi and gave it to him as a gift. At the moment, the "Madhouse" and "Merry Pranksters" hoods are also on display. The owner Wolfi, who has been running the rock pub since 1977, is an enthusiastic motorcyclist himself and a fan of my artwork. It's always worth stopping by.

Hans Albers was probably the name that everyone associates with the Reeperbahn. But famous guests such as Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles were also to be found here, as were the Hells Angels and sailors from all over. The famous St. Pauli soccer club is also a fixture.
Every night, 7 days a week, you can visit various shows and cabarets on the Mile. Whether male or female, straight or gay, there is something for everyone. In addition to various theaters and its own fairground, places like "Herbertstraße" are well-known to everyone. Taboo for women!
Even in the early years, brothels were an integral part of the Reeperbahn... just like today. It is also interesting to know that there is a very special place for Sado Maso enthusiasts. The Club de Sade in Hamburg St. Pauli is one of the oldest SM clubs in Europe. It was founded in the 1960s.

The "Hog Farm" hood is part of the "Hippie Time" series
Wavy Gravy and Evan Engber founded the Hog Farm in the 1960s in the USA and it became a well-known commune at the time.
The hood shows excerpts from their festivals alongside some of the members. These were regularly organized by the community and were famous for tolerating and consuming drugs such as acid and wheat. Their lifestyle resembled a theatrical performance. Because of their crazy clothes and their special "way of life" they were soon called the "flower children", also known as "hippies"
The time of the "hippies" is in the past, but this era will always be remembered.

Unlike all the other hoods and tanks, which come from the scrap yard of a very good friend, the Skoda hood is from my own vehicle. Unfortunately, the faithful vehicle had to be scrapped, but of course I kept the hood. As the title of the work says, we converted it into a bar and today it is a popular meeting place and eye-catcher in our "party zone" on the roof terrace.
On it you can see about 81 works of art by artists from the 1920s from the styles of Expressionism, Cubanism and Dadaism.

The circus has thrilled people for centuries. Artists with their amazing agility and daring stunts. Whether on ladders, trapezes or
ropes. It is always breathtaking. You can watch the jugglers catching their balls, clubs or rings with amazement and be astounded by their skill. In addition to jugglers and artists, there are of course fire and sword swallowers, magicians and clowns. But tattoo women and snake women were also a popular attraction in earlier times, and animals were and still are an important part of a circus. However, animals should be kept in a manner appropriate to their species.

You could have designed a canopy over Portugal, but the "surfing" theme was a good alternative. No other country in Europe (apart from the UK) has more waves to offer than Portugal.

Sibel, the owner of the hairdressing store Haarwerke, made it possible for me to
to exhibit this unique hood in a wonderful place. It is on a farm whose owner allows city dwellers to get closer to the diversity of the country's flora and fauna. Children in particular are very welcome at this place. Atatürk, Kangal dogs, Van cats, Sabiha Gökçen (a Turkish pilot and the first female fighter pilot!) and coffee are some of the words that stand for Turkey. But the country also has a lot of historical sites to offer, such as the Bosporus, the caves of Cappadocia, the springs of Pamukkale, the Nemrut Dagi head sculptures, various amphitheaters and the Horse of Troy. But a classic bazaar is also a must.
